Learn how to raise public awareness of your organization and its programs. Developing a public awareness campaign is a necessary part of 'selling' your nonprofit organization, program, and mission. It helps your stakeholders understand who you are, what you do, and why they should care. With a strong public awareness campaign, you can share your story with a target audience to increase awareness around your nonprofit's services, programs, and the people you serve to increase awareness, participation, and
funding. This course will provide you with an overview of the fundamentals of a public
awareness campaign and how to get started developing your own.

In this class, nonprofits will learn the fundamentals of writing a Public Awareness Campaign. Please note that attendees can begin writing their Public Awareness Campaign the same day in an interactive workshop (Marketing 202) Information is below.

MARKETING 202 - WRITING YOUR PUBLIC AWARENESS CAMPAIGN WORKSHOP - 2:15 pm - 4:30 pm ($49.00)
(Pre-requisite Marketing 201 or previous experience writing a Public Awareness Campaign)
This in an interactive workshop to get you started on writing a Public Awareness Campaign for your nonprofit. We will work in groups of two on a variety of exercised that answer the following questions:
• WHERE you are now (situational analysis)
• WHAT you want to do (goals/objectives)
• WHO you want to reach (target audience)
• WHY they should care (key messaging)
• HOW you will do it (strategy)
• WHAT you will use to reach them (tactics)
• HOW you will measure success (evaluation and reporting)
Participants will leave with a customizable electronic public awareness plan template and will have the opportunity for expert support and review of completed plans after the class.

Susan Burnash is a passionate advocate for Nonprofits and cause related organizations.
